About Sports Page BC
Sports Page BC is building the digital home of sport in British Columbia.
We exist to connect athletes, teams, leagues, coaches, organizations, creators, sponsors, and fans through a centralized platform that celebrates and grows sport across our province. At a time when local sports coverage has become increasingly fragmented, Sports Page BC was created to bring the stories, achievements, and communities that make BC sports special back into one place.
From professional franchises and major championships to community tournaments, high school athletics, junior leagues, university sports, and grassroots programs, we believe every athlete and every team deserves the opportunity to be seen, celebrated, and discovered.
Why We Exist
British Columbia is home to thousands of athletes, coaches, volunteers, officials, teams, leagues, and organizations. Yet the stories that inspire our communities are spread across hundreds of websites, social channels, publications, and platforms. Valuable achievements often go unnoticed, particularly at the amateur, youth, collegiate, and community levels.
Sports Page BC was built to help change that.
Our goal is simple: create a trusted destination where people can discover the athletes, teams, stories, highlights, scores, events, podcasts, videos, and conversations that matter across British Columbia.
Built on a Proud Legacy
Sports Page BC draws inspiration from the legacy of the original Sports Page, a beloved part of British Columbia’s sports media history. While we are creating a modern digital platform for today’s audience, we remain committed to the values that made the original brand meaningful: community connection, great storytelling, athlete recognition, and a genuine passion for local sport.
We are not rebuilding the past.
We are carrying forward its spirit and building its future for a new generation of athletes, fans, and sports communities.
More Than a Sports Media Company
Sports Page BC is more than a website.
We are creating a province-wide sports ecosystem that brings together media, community engagement, content creators, schools, teams, leagues, organizations, and fans under one banner. Through original storytelling, contributor networks, podcasts, photography, video, social media, community submissions, and strategic partnerships, we aim to become the most trusted and comprehensive source for BC sports.
We’re also committed to helping develop the next generation of sports journalists, broadcasters, photographers, videographers, and content creators through mentorship opportunities and contributor programs that provide aspiring storytellers with real-world experience and meaningful exposure.
Our Vision
To become British Columbia’s most trusted and centralized sports information and community platform, where every sport, every athlete, and every community has a place to be seen, celebrated, and discovered.
Our Mission
To connect athletes, teams, leagues, coaches, organizations, creators, sponsors, and fans through a centralized platform that celebrates and grows sport positively throughout British Columbia.
Looking Ahead
Our journey starts with storytelling.
But our vision extends far beyond news and media. Over time, Sports Page BC aims to become the province’s central sports ecosystem, bringing together news, scores, rankings, video, podcasts, recruiting, sponsorship opportunities, community engagement, and other tools that help athletes and organizations thrive.
As we grow, our success will be measured not only by audience size but by the impact we have on athletes, teams, schools, leagues, and communities throughout British Columbia. We believe sport has the power to unite people, strengthen communities, inspire future generations, and create lifelong memories.
